On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Greater Manchester Liberian Community (GM-LIBCOM) joined family and friends to celebrate the graduation of Miss Isha, who successfully completed her degree in Speech and Language Therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University. The beautiful, colourful, and well-attended celebration reflected the spirit of love, unity, and community. The occasion was filled with merrymaking, delicious food, drinks, barbecue, music, and fellowship, creating a joyful atmosphere enjoyed by everyone present.
In her remarks, Miss Isha thanked the Greater Manchester Liberian Community for turning out in large numbers to celebrate this special milestone with her and her family. She said she was deeply overwhelmed by the love and support shown by her friends and the youth of the Greater Manchester Liberian Community. She also expressed her sincere appreciation to the programme planners, her parents, and the organisations whose leadership attended the celebration and honoured the occasion with gifts and their presence.
Speaking on behalf of the Manchester Men Community, Chairperson Mr. Benjamin Baston presented an envelope and flowers to the graduate. He congratulated Miss Isha on her hard work and described her graduation as an achievement for the entire Liberian community. He reminded those present that celebrating one another’s successes is the true essence of community.
The graduate’s father, Mr. Francis Gbundema, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Greater Manchester Liberian Community, family, friends, and the many volunteers whose generosity, support, and hard work made the occasion a memorable celebration for his family.
The event served as a wonderful reminder of the strength and unity of the Liberian community in Greater Manchester, as members came together to celebrate excellence, encourage one another, and inspire the next generation.
