GM-LIBCOM Announces Historic Transition of the Annual End-of-Year Celebration The Greater Manchester Liberian Community (GM-LIBCOM) is pleased to announce another important milestone in its journey towards building a stronger and more united Liberian community. Following a series of fruitful consultations with the Manchester Men Community, the traditional hosts of the annual End-of-Year Gathering, a mutual agreement has been reached to transition the event into a community-wide celebration under the umbrella of the Greater Manchester Liberian Community (GM-LIBCOM). This landmark decision reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to foster greater unity, collaboration, and inclusiveness within the Liberian community in Greater Manchester. By bringing the celebration under the GM-LIBCOM umbrella, the event will provide an opportunity for all Liberian organisations, families, and friends to come together as one community to celebrate the achievements of the year and strengthen the bonds that unite us. The Steering Committee of GM-LIBCOM will assume responsibility for planning and coordinating the annual celebration, working closely with the Executive Leadership and other stakeholders to deliver a memorable and inclusive event for everyone. GM-LIBCOM extends its sincere appreciation to the Manchester Men Community for its years of dedication and outstanding leadership in successfully organising the End-of-Year Gathering. Their willingness to embrace this transition demonstrates a shared vision that places the unity and growth of the wider Liberian community above individual organisational interests.
