Dr. Emmanuel D. Lah is a trained medical doctor from the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine with a diverse professional background in healthcare, education, leadership, administration, and community development.
He previously served as Medical Director of the Sacleapea Comprehensive Health Center in Liberia, where he provided clinical leadership and supported the delivery of quality healthcare services within the community. His passion for education and mentorship also led him into academia, where he served as a Health and Social Care Lecturer at Scholars School System and later as an Associate Lecturer at International Business College Manchester.
Dr. Lah has built extensive experience in leadership, management, and organisational development over the years. He previously served as General Secretary for the Union of Liberian Organisations in the UK, where he worked closely with various Liberian groups and leaders to promote collaboration, unity, and community engagement. He has also worked in several administrative and management positions within the health and social care sector in the United Kingdom, including serving as a CQC Registered Manager for Gracious Hearts Care Ltd.
With vast knowledge and experience working with community organisations, Dr. Lah is widely recognised for his commitment to social inclusion, youth engagement, community participation, and cultural unity. He strongly believes that every member of the community should have a voice and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully toward collective growth and development.
As President of GM-LibCom, he remains committed to promoting inclusiveness, transparency, accountability, and stronger collaboration among Liberians and friends of Liberia across Greater Manchester and beyond. His leadership approach focuses on bringing people together, strengthening relationships between organisations, and creating opportunities that support the social, cultural, educational, and wellbeing needs of the wider community.
Beyond his professional and community roles, Dr. Lah is a devoted family man who remains actively involved at different levels of the Liberian community in the United Kingdom. He continues to dedicate his time and efforts toward initiatives that promote unity, empowerment, cultural identity, and positive community representation.
